Yr10 & Yr12 Geography Field Trips

Geog

It has been a busy few weeks in the Geography Department.

Firstly, 120 year 10 students went to collect their Physical Geography fieldwork data in Seaford. They measured the effectiveness of the coastal management in protecting the town. They worked in teams to create beach profiles and groyne drop analysis. They will all be heading to Stratford, East London, next week to finish their Human fieldwork data collection, on the success of regeneration in the area. This will prepare the students to answer fieldwork questions in their GCSE Geography Paper 3 exam.

This week, our Year 12 Geographers have been along the Dorset coastline to collect data for their NEA investigations.  Each student has devised their own investigation, and students have been absolutely fantastic in collecting their data around Durdle Door, Swanage, Weymouth and the River Piddle. A huge thank you to Mr Wilson for his support in making this trip possible.
