Young Carers

At Bishop Wand the Young Carers Champions are Ms Nicolaides and Mrs Wilson. We offer termly Young Carer year group meetings and all our Young Carers are welcome to come to the Bishops Building at break-times where pastoral support is available. One to one support is provided to students when needed.

Every week, at lunchtime, we host "Fun Thursday", where Young Carers from all year groups can meet in the Bishops Building. It is an opportunity to spend time with other students who can relate to Young Carer challenges and needs.

We are also able to support students and their families in being referred to Surrey Young Carers (SYC).

Regular emails are sent home to the both the Young Carer and their family.
