On Wednesday, 17th June 2026, Noah in 8B represented our School at a poetry competition for year 8 students, hosted by St Mary's University. Competitors had to recite a poem in French, German or Spanish from memory, in front of a large audience of fellow competitors from many local schools, plus their parents and teachers.
Noah chose the French poem 'La fourmi" about a very unusual ant! Competitors then had only a few minutes to prepare an unseen poem and read it in front of the judges.
It is not easy to stand up in front of an audience and perform, and to do it in a foreign language and from memory is a huge achievement. He did such a great job, with excellent pronunciation, lots of actions and very confident delivery. We are so proud of him - well done Noah!
