Bishop Wand ACE Rugby Team
The Bishop Wand ACE team have started the season with two competitive fixtures, showing true spirit and determination throughout. Although both matches ended in narrow defeats, the effort and commitment from the squad has been clear for all to see.
Our opening game saw us take on Beecham Cliff, where we battled hard but eventually fell to a 34–22 loss. The performance was full of energy and promise, with only small margins making the difference on the day.
In our second outing against Gordon’s, the boys again demonstrated resilience and work rate across the field. Despite their efforts, the match finished 29–13 in favour of Gordon’s. Whilst the score line did not reflect the endeavour and moments of quality shown, the team continues to build confidence and cohesion, which is vital going into the match against Hartpury at Home next week.
Beyond the pitch, the boys have also been developing valuable life skills through sessions in our Technology Department, where they have been preparing and cooking meals together. This has not only been enjoyable but has also provided a huge learning opportunity around nutrition, teamwork, and the importance of fuelling their bodies correctly.
