Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award

We are delighted to share that 39 of our Year 10 students have successfully completed their Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition in the New Forest.

The group faced a mixture of challenging weather conditions, with periods of intense heat followed by heavy rain. Despite this, every participant showed outstanding resilience, adaptability, and teamwork throughout the expedition.

Each group navigated their routes with growing confidence and managed their camp craft with increasing independence. The assessors were particularly impressed with their positive attitude and determination in the face of fluctuating weather.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to the dedicated staff who generously gave up their time and energy over the three days to support the students: Mr. Jardine, Mr. Swerling, and Mr. Bailey. A special thank you also goes to our fantastic Year 11 young leaders – Hannah T, Eliza D, and Layla V – whose support, encouragement and leadership were invaluable throughout.

The students were a real credit to themselves and to our School. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
