Admissions 2027 Consultation
In accordance with the School Admissions Code, The Bishop Wand Church of England School is formally consulting on its Admissions Policy for September 2027.
Having established the Instanter Learning Trust, of which The Bishop Wand Church of England School and St Mary’s Hampton Primary School are the two founding members, we are pleased to announce the commencement of this admissions consultation.
The proposed changes to the Admissions Policy for The Bishop Wand Church of England School are being consulted on, based upon our desire to facilitate a seamless 4 to 19 educational pathway for families within our current catchment area. This pathway will be grounded in Church of England Christian principles, reflecting our commitment to nurturing faith, fostering academic excellence, and serving our local community.
We invite your views on these proposed changes as we work together to support the educational journey of students and families within our Trust.

The consultation will run from Tuesday, 25th November 2025 until 6pm on Monday, 5th January 2026. Anyone wishing to submit their views should email admissions@bishopwand.surrey.sch.uk.
Alternatively, responses can be made in writing and posted to Mrs H Jermy, Admissions Officer, The Bishop Wand Church of England School, Layton's Lane, Sunbury-on-Thames, TW16 6LT. In any response, please include your full name, title, and contact details and reference the Admissions Policy Consultation.
After the closing date, responses will be collated and presented to the Local Governing Committee of the School for decision making and ratification by 28th February 2026 and published on our School website no later than 15th March 2026.
