Students heading across the country following outstanding A Level results

Bath, Birmingham, Bristol and Bournemouth are just some of the universities our students will be joining in September following the outstanding academic outcomes at The Bishop Wand CofE Sixth Form. Today we are celebrating with our 65 Year 13 students, who achieved a 96% pass rate, and where 13% of all results achieved were graded A* or A.  Our Boys continue to improve and achieved the highest combined point score in the last three years.  “Well done to all the students who achieved results today. This is the second year of the new reformed A Levels with many specifications being taken for the first time. Both individual and whole School results continue to show the strength and breadth of our students’ talents. Maths and Further Maths results were outstanding with students achieving significantly above beyond national benchmarks, I am very pleased by these results and the achievements of our students and hope that they enjoy celebrating their success.   I am proud that Bishop Wand students will be taking places at top universities across the country and starting exciting opportunities in the world of work. I wish all our students every success in the future. These results are the culmination of two years of hard work, and thanks must also go all our teaching and support staff who so capably supported students over this time”.
