Charity

Every three years, our students choose a new School Charity. Previous charities have included international development charity, Tearfund and UK charity, Church Urban Fund. Since the 2016 academic year, we have supported Save the Children and their humanitarian work across the world.

Several times a year we also organise food collections for our local food banks which we have close ties with, giving them an essential boost of supplies as they work with local families in times of crisis. Our sixth formers given their time through our enrichment programme, with the community food bank at St Saviour’s Church and by running a new open lunch project for the local community.

In the Summer Term, we were selected by Save the Children to take part in their national Christmas Jumper Day campaign. This year the Student Council will be working with the form groups to plan a range of activities for our students to take part in.

Lastly, back by popular demand, we will be hosting not only one service for our local parishioners of St Saviour’s Church, but two. Last year, we held a lovely Easter service for the senior parishioners of the Church. This year, we are inviting our wonderful guests back to celebrate Christmas and Easter with us.
