GCSE Results

Students, staff and parents at The Bishop Wand Church of England School are celebrating following the release of some excellent GCSE examination results, the highest in the School’s recent history.

This year's initial figures show students have achieved 70% A*C in 5 GCSE subjects including English and Maths and the School has continued to improve its academic performance year on year.

Headteacher, Daniel Aldridge, said:

"These are exceptional results, I am incredibly proud of all our students and what they have achieved. These results are a base on which are students can build their future successes.

Bishop Wand has always been known for its outstanding pastoral care and support and it is pleasing that our academic performance mirrors this success. I would like to thank all the parents for their continued support and the staff who have worked tirelessly to provide the students with the opportunities to succeed”.

A few examples of our students who performed particularly well include:

  • Gurneek Gill                           10A* 2 A
  • Liam Gregory                          6A* 4A
  • Nadia Vermeulen-Rostane      6A* 4A 1B

As a comprehensive school, we are equally proud of all our students who have worked extremely hard to obtain these amazing results.
