Announcement
Induction Day for our new Students and Year 12 lessons as normal
Further to my email on Friday, the National Union of Teachers have called members take industrial action on Tuesday 5th July 2016. This action is not personal to our School but a national strike against Government Policy.
This day coincides with our Year 6 transfer day, when our primary school students from across the county take part in their induction process to our School. I have taken the decision to protect the transition process, which can be an extremely difficult time for parents and children, as they embark on their journey to Secondary School.
It is with regret that due to the numbers of staff taking part in the industrial action on Tuesday, 5th July 2016, I cannot safely staff Years 7, 8 and 9 as well as run the Year 6 Induction Day and maintain Sixth Form lessons. Therefore, School will be closed on Tuesday 5th July 2016, for Years 7, 8 and 9 and will reopen to all students on Wednesday, 6th July 2016.
Year 10 will continue their work experience as timetabled. Thank you in advance for your support in this matter.
