How often do I need to come to school? What if I'm ill?

Attendance is really important! Every day you miss at school is learning time missed. If you do happen to be ill, your parents will need to contact our attendance line.

Being punctual is also important, as the beginning of the day sets you up for a successful day of learning.

Any work you miss, you will need to catch up on.

What is behaviour like in secondary school?

At The Bishop Wand School we have very high expectations of your learning and conduct. Behaviour is very good around the School and in lessons. Students are respectful to staff and their peers and are expected to follow instruction the first time of asking.

You represent Bishop Wand both inside and outside of School, and we ask you to uphold our values and reputation at all times.

Are there any clubs I can join?

There are lots of after school clubs at Bishop Wand every term. If you are interested in doing additional sports, music, drama, science or a range of other activities, then have a look at our booklet from last year. We update this every year with a new list of clubs.
