Visit to Parliament
On Thursday, 8th February 2024, Mr Aldridge had the privilege of visiting the Palace of Westminster alongside the other Secondary Headteachers of Spelthorne, to meet our Member of Parliament Kwasi Kwartang. It was an enlightening experience to understand where we are as a country and the constraints that now impact us in our day-to-day lives. However, I could discuss matters relevant to our school community and was pleased with the response and the commitment to Spelthorne. Interestingly, it was acknowledged that 20% of all Surrey's major businesses operate within Spelthorne, and while other areas of Surrey and London are seeing a reduction in growth, in Spelthorne we are seeing investment.
