Headteacher's Welcome

As Headteacher I would like to welcome you to our School.

The Bishop Wand Church of England School offers your child an excellent educational experience underpinned by strong Christian values. We are proud of our reputation for exceptional pastoral care and academic achievement and ensure that all our students develop as high achieving, confident, articulate young people who most importantly enjoy education.

We believe in traditional values and expect our students to work hard and be well disciplined, so that we can prepare them to thrive in the competitive global environment.

As an 11-19 School, with our own Sixth Form, we offer an all through educational experience delivered by high quality specialist teachers. Academic results at our School consistently exceed national benchmarks and in 2015: 85% of students passed 5 or more GCSE’s with A*- C grades, 69% including English and Maths.

Our website will provide you with a flavour of all that goes on within our School; whether this is academic achievement, our wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer or our relationships with wider local and global communities.

If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us.
