Ski Trip 2012

Exciting, wild, dangerous and out of control were just some words that could be used to describe Mr. Wood's skiing technique. The filling for a sandwich, for which the bread was two epic coach journeys, was amazing to say the least. Days packed full of skiing which gave moments of triumph, courage and mostly hilarity.......

Intermediate Maths Challenge

Bishop Wand school The Intermediate Maths Challenge took place on Thursday 2nd February 2012. It is aimed at the top third of pupils in Year 9, 10 and 11 in England and Wales. The challenge involves answering 25 multiple choice questions in one hour. Questions 16 to 25 get progressively more difficult and students are actually deducted points if they get the question wrong, therefore.......

Royal Holloway, University Challenge

Bishop Wand School On Saturday 25th February 2012 a Year 9 Team entered the Annual Royal Holloway University Challenge competition. All the questions were on Science, Maths and Technology and the format was the same as the television programme, University Challenge. Lots of schools entered from all over Surrey, including Eton College!

Sixth Form Examination Results

6th Exam Results Sixth Form Students were celebrating at School as they received their results.  Excellent grades were achieved at both AS and A2 level with almost all students from Year 13 gaining the qualifications required to start their university courses in September.

Record Breaking GCSE Results

Helen Newell It Students were shouting with joy as record breaking GCSE results were announced at School! The results saw 78% of students achieving five or more A* - C grades, (65% including Maths and English). Students performed well at all ability levels.Special congratulations should go to Rosie Clarke, Raquel Gracia, Katie Harbach, Jenna Norman, Emma Powell and Megan Turner who achieved ten A's and A*'s.
