District Athletics Event
Last Tuesday saw our Year 7 and 8 Athletes attend the District Athletics event. All of our athletes have been developing their techniques and events in both Athletics club and lessons, in preparation for the District event.
Students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and behaviour throughout the day and made our School proud, with a total of 11 individual medals overall.
The results finished as follows:
Year 7 Girls - 3rd
Year 7 Boys - 5th
Year 8 Girls - 2nd
Year 8 Boys - 1st
Combined with the Year 9 and 10 results, this meant that Bishop Wand finished 2nd in both the girls and boys overall in the District - an excellent result.
A huge congratulations to all who competed - you should be really proud of yourselves.
