Exceptional GCSE Results
We are delighted that after the first set of GCSE examination results in two years, our students at Bishop Wand have achieved some exceptional exams results
Over the last two years students have worked tirelessly to keep up and catch up following national lockdowns and online learning. We are proud of all their achievements, and acknowledge the individual difficulties and challenges they have faced and had to overcome.
Our headline figures show 89% of students passed English with a grade of 4 and 85% in Maths an increase on our 2019 results.
Students have risen to the challenge and secured results that will enable them to move onto the next stage of their academic Journey at Bishop Wand or move on to college and apprenticeship programs across the area.
Students and their families should be rightfully proud of their results. As a school, we are pleased that the return to exams has seen the school match the level of outcomes achieved pre pandemic.

24% of grades were in the 9-7 bracket
68% of grades were in the 9-5 bracket

We also have many students who achieved outstanding grades and made significant progress in their time at Bishop Wand exceeding the targets set based on their KS2 scores and in the process becoming role models to all our students, showing the power of hard work and determination. The following students all achieved on average more than 2 grades above their target grades.
