Greetings from the School Chaplain

It is part of the School's commitment to caring, expressed through Christ, to use resources to fund the work of the Chaplain. I am a priest in the Church of England and here to support pastoral work and spiritual growth within the lives of students and staff.

Through acts of worship, opportunities for prayer, questions and action, we encourage students on their spiritual journey of faith and understanding. Opportunities are given to talk at greater length about challenges individuals may face in their lives and by listening to them, communicate their worth in the sight of others and of God. Such encounters make for possibilities; forgiveness, starting again and encouragement to shape the future with courage.

"The glory of God is someone who is fully alive"

I hope, with other staff, to reflect this at The Bishop Wand Church of England School. It means making connections between what is being taught and learnt in our school, our own experiences and faith and the wider world we share with all God's people and creation.
