Admissions To discuss any matters in relation to admission to the School please contact; Mrs. Sarah Bennett Telephone 01932 778637 Planned Admissions, Year 7 Governors will give top priority to children looked after by a Local Authority. Children with a statement of special educational need naming The Bishop Wand School are automatically given a place at the School. The Bishop Wand Church of England School operates an equal preference system. In the event of over subscription the governors will apply the Admissions Criteria in numerical order. Casual Admissions, All Years Should there be the possibility of a place, you will be sent an Application Form. Parents should be aware that submission of an application does not guarantee that a place will become available for your child. On receipt of the completed Application Form your child's current/previous school will be contacted and relevant information collected. Once this data has been received it is usual that you and your child would be asked in to School for an interview with the Headteacher. It is also possible that the relevant Head of Year and other members of the School staff, would also be present at the meeting. Please note that with the exception of Year 7 The Bishop Wand Church of England School does not maintain any waiting lists for places.
