Bishop Wand Sixth Formers gain exceptional results

Bishop Wand Sixth Formers gain exceptional results and achieve university places across the country.

Imperial, Nottingham, Exeter and Warwick are just some of the some of the universities our students will be joining in September following the brilliant academic outcomes at The Bishop Wand C of E Sixth Form.  Many have also chosen to use their A levels to secure employment and are embarking on new careers with a few planning gap years that will take them to new and exciting destinations.

Today we are celebrating with our Year 13 students where 21% of students achieved at least 1 A* or A grade; this is an improving picture, contrary to the national picture which showed a decline in the percentage of top grades. Our boys also bucked national trends by outperforming the girls for the second year in a row.

“Well done to all our students who achieved results today”. Every result achieved is to be celebrated; the table below showcases some on the incredible outcomes achieved at Bishop Wand.

I am proud our students will be taking places at top universities across the country and equally for those starting opportunities in the world of work. I wish all our students every success in the future.

These results are the culmination of two years of hard work, and thanks must also go all our teaching, support staff and, of course, parents who have so capably supported students over this time”.
